Errr….Say What?

August 14, 2009

With all the big hoopla surounding pResident Obama’s “New and Improved” healthcare plan, sometimes it’s kind of hard to pick out the real important pieces of information that define exactly what we’re getting ourselves into.  And there are the real gems!

Political/Editorial Cartoon by Steve Kelley Political/Editorial Cartoon by Steve Kelley

Yesterday at a softball town hall meeting in New hampshire, the pResident tries to sell citizens on the healthcare idea that he and his party have been working tirelessly to get approved for the past 8 months or so.  The crowd was unusually calm (pre-screened of course) in that particular town hall and I’m unsure if anyone caught on to the blaring contradiction and irony that spewed from King Hussein’s orafice.

“UPS and FedEx are doing just fine; it’s the post office that’s always having problems.”

As Lance Fairchok over at American Thinker so precisely put it:

Oh the irony! That the President would, in so simple and clueless a fashion, utter the most crystalline sentence I could imagine to debunk his own absurd policies. Private postal industries, performing in ways a government run enterprise cannot, are doing fine, while the Post Office, the eternal taxpayer money pit, is not. That simple truth should be broadcast far and wide, in the Presidents own words. Even the first Socialist American President, a man who is attempting to transform us into a nanny state identical to our European allies, understands at some level, that private enterprise is the most successful way to prosper as a nation. So why is he working so hard to undermine it?

Undermine it indeed.  He’s trying so hard to undermine the private enterprise system because he’s a socialist plain and simple.  And as we all know, private enterprise has no room in a socialist society.  He just had a Hairplugs Biden moment during that speech.  I wonder if the TOTUS stayed back at the White House during this trip.  A tiny SNAFU it might have been, but sometimes that’s all it takes.  It could quite possibly be that moment that brings some clarity to some of the idiot voters out there.  But looking back this past week at all the Town Hall meetings with congressman and senators, it looks like the voters are already beginning to realize that this hack in the White House and all the other oxygen thiefs that claim they work for us are really all just smoke and mirrors.  And when the smoke clears, the American people could very well be seeing red…..comrade.

It ain’t easy…

August 12, 2009

You know, it’s not easy being creative all the time.  I think my muse has left and gone off to find other work with someone else.  The desire is still there but the ideas are stagnant.  So what to do when you have the urge to get your voice and your ideas out there, but the creative juices refuse to flow?

Well, I haven’t figured that one out yet.  I used to think it was my job.  But right now, there’s really nothing about my job that I can make a valid complaint about.  Of course there’s little things that irritate me about the people I work with, but all in all, it’s not that big of a deal.

But then there’s my personal life.  Sometimes I don’t know why I put myself into the situations that I do.  It’s amazing how lucky I am to have what I have because there’s only so much that any one person can take.

Let me break it down to you.  I make mistakes.  Not just little mistakes but the really big ones that count!  And they all seem to come at the wrong times.  Of course, anything bad that happens in our lives usually seems like it doesn’t occur at a “good” time but I have this special talent of thoroughly and efficiently shoving my head up my ass when I’m already down for the count.  So then what happens is that it seems like it makes matters worse.

I’m beginning to think that it’s just who I am.  I’ve always been like this.  And more than likely I’ll continue to be like this even though it’s not exactly your ideal way to lead a life.  Maybe I just need some sort of miracle meditation session to clear shit out of my head and “reboot” my system.  I don’t know what I need but if I don’t figure it out soon, I’ll find myself on the receiving end of a big “fuck you.”

Or has it already happened?

Here it comes again

July 21, 2009

I feel the animosity, anxiety, and rage coming on again.  Everything and everyone around me gets me to the point where I just want to hurt someone.  I don’t even know where to start but what I do know is that what I saw this morning brings back all kinds of feelings and hurtfulness and all I want to do is go lose myself in the gym some more.  I had forgotten what the gym does for me.  I forgot how it makes me feel and cope with all of the bullshit life throws at me.

When I first started working out in Iraq I did it for a certain reason.  After a while, when I started to see results, I started to do it for myself.  When I started up again yesterday, my mindset was to be in there for myself once more but now this morning brings up some old conflicts that changes my attitude about everything.  I thought I had gotten over all of that shit.  I guess not.

The problem is I don’t know how to deal with it.  It’s like a festering sore deep inside me that I can’t get rid of and it’s never going away.  I can’t bring it up to the person I need to talk to about it because it won’t get me anywhere.  All I can do is keep it buried deep inside me and use it as fuel to get what I need to get done in the gym.  I just hope it doesn’t spill out over into my work rituals.  Trust me, with this type of problem, I will be “combat in-effective” at my job.  If my head isn’t where it’s supposed to be, my job will suffer because of it.

I’m just so fucking tired of everything.

Workin’ Out Again

The Goal

The Goal

And it feels ooohh, so good!  I’ve been getting so fed up with the way I feel and the way I look lately that I decided it’s time for me to find my way back into the gym.  I hate this stage though.  The soreness, the sweatiness, the way I look in the mirror.  I can’t stand seeing my “muffin top” stick out when I’m lifting.  Most of the time I’m a “instant gratification” type of guy so I want positive results now!  But I also realize that it will take time to see the kind of results that I’m looking for.

My goal is to lose about 30 lbs. and get to about 11 or 12% body fat.  That’s where I was at when I was in Iraq and I loved it.  I only started today so I know it’ll take at least 3 or 4 months to get back to it.  I’m also changing it up a little bit this time around.  Since my schedule and time allocation is so much different than it was when I was in Iraq, I’ve decided to cut a little bit back on the cardio.  I’ve read quite a bit how lifting weights alone can be just as effective if not more effective for burining fat as compared to cardio alone.  Of course I still have to maintain my running since I have a PT test coming up, but as far as me burning fat, it won’t play quite as big a role as it did before.

I blasted my legs today.  That’s another change that I inc0rporated into my workout.  When I was in Iraq, for whatever reason, I didn’t work my legs a whole lot.  But I keep reading that working your lower body is one of the best ways to incorporate new muscle groups and burn fat fastest.  I’ll be paying for it though.  As long as it’s been since I worked my legs and as hard as I worked them today, I’m definitely going to feel it tomorrow……and the next day….and the next day.

Tomorrow I think I do my back.  I’ve always enjoyed working my back so I’m looking forward to it.  I’ll try to keep up to date on how my progress is going.  Let’s see if I can stick with it.

Train Like a Freak.

Satisfaction

July 14, 2009

I think that’s what’s missing in my life right now.  I can’t seem to come to that point of satisfaction and enjoyment one would like to have.  During the day, my job isn’t that bad.  It’s the end of the day that I hate.  Instead of saying, “Great job today, see you tomorrow” we’re expected to stay and become house niggers and clean up everyone elses messes simply because the powers that be think that this is “our house.”

This isn’t my house.  And I’m sure as hell not going to become some house nigger for a person that thinks her shit don’t stink.  Granted, I have to give respect to the rank.  But as a person, I just can’t bring myself to respect anyone as pretentious as this woman.  Moral is low for a reason.

Another aspect of my life that I’m unhappy with right now is the fact that I’m becoming disgustingly fat.  Some people might think I’m crazy, but to me, it’s happening.  Now, there’s no one else to blame for it but myself and that’s part of the reason why I’m so unhappy with it.  When I come home from my job, my motivation is so far gone that all I want to do is watch tv and drink beer.  Our PT program here is barely anything so that’s not helping at all.  I know I need to go to the gym and run more but again, the motivation is lacking as is the time to do it.  I’ve tried numerous times to stick to diets and go to the gym on a regular basis but something always happens to make me divert back to my old ways (i.e. having to stay late at work for some stupid fucking reason).

I’m almost to the point of giving up.  The only thing that keeps me from saying, “Fuck it, I’ll just drink and get fat and not give a shit about my health anymore” is Joy and the fact that I have to make warrant officer.  Joy always gives me this guilt trip about my habits but I deserve it.  She eats so healthy all the time and there’s some times I admire her discipline.  And then there’s the whole warrant officer situation.  There’s no way I can make warrant officer and be in shape for school in my present condition.  I think as soon as I find out, that will be the key to getting my ass in gear and start getting back in shape.

Hopefully one of these days I’ll find my niche here and become comfortable with who I am again.  Until then however, it’s gonna have to be a day-to-day process.

Car Trouble Pt.2

July 10, 2009

So I found out the other day that I had an oil leak from the Focus.  Since moving into my new house and my new garage, parking the Focus in the garage has been awesome.  But it also gave me the opportunity to see that she’s leaking oil from somewhere.  I haven’t had the time to look at it yet but that’s my plan for this weekend.

I’ve done a little research about it and hopefully it’s only the vlave cover gasket that needs to be changed out.  If that’s the case, then it doesn’t seem too difficult a problem to fix.  If it’s something other than the valve cover gasket and it turns out to be a bigger problem, then I don’t know what I’ll do; I’m not the greatest mechanical genious in the world.  I guess I’ll have to do my best to do the research and try to fix it myself.  I really can’t afford to take it in to someone and pay for it to get it fix this time, so I guess it falls on me.ScottsCar 003

Besides that, there’s a whole plethera of things I need to do to the Focus this weekend.  Washing, vaccuming, detailing, and some other things in the name of maintenance that I’ve overlooked for way too long.  She’s my baby and it’s high time I took care of her like I used to.

Why do I do this to myself?

July 10, 2009

I don’t know why I insist on reading the news and some of my favorite political blogs. I always end up getting so frustrated and angry at the direction this country is going. The sheer idiocy of some of the people in charge hurts my brain. I mean, I know I’m not the world’s smartest guy, but I like to think that I have some common sense when it comes to making important decisions.

The problem with most of the politicians in today’s government is that the corruption has gotten so bad and has become so much a way of life that they just live in a dream world where the order of the day is to fulfill the stoopid, inane requests of some supporter instead of working on real issues that mean something to the American people. I don’t see an end in sight and I think that’s what makes it so frustrating. And it’s pretty damn hard keeping my mouth shut given the type of job I have. Damn, is it 2012 yet?

Uhh, yeahhh…how’s that workin’ out for you?

The Race Game

February 20, 2009

Here we have a briliant entry by one of the writers for The Rott.  This couldn’t have been said any better:

By now I’m sure y’all know that the newly minted Attorney General, (note that I dropped the obligatory reference to his being the first black AG) said that we are a “Nation of Cowards” on race issues. It took me a while to wrap my brain housing group around all the implications of the first high melanin content AG saying that. This coming from a man whose sole qualifications for the job seem to be his skin color and his legal expertise at wrangling pardons from Slick Willie.

WASHINGTON – Eric Holder, the nation’s first black attorney general (can’t get away from his race, can ya oh enlightened journaljizzmer? – crunch), said Wednesday the United States was “a nation of cowards” on matters of race, with most Americans avoiding candid discussions of racial issues.

“Candid” discussions huh? In this age of political correctness any “candid ” discussion by a non-aggrieved person, I.E. white folk, is labeled as racist. Even mentioning someones skin color is a hate crime, if your white, and not a liberal, and don’t use the party approved PC term du jur. Only the race baiting, perpetually outraged, extortionist, “civil rights leaders” are allowed to discuss race, usually when they use it as a cudgel of white guilt to force their will on others.

In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

No worries asshole. I’m sure that soon enough Dat One™ will have us all enrolled in mandatory weekend retreats so we can confront our racism by aggressive kumbaya therapy. Now, do you think that when Holder said “Americans” he meant ALL Americans, or just those of non-African descent?

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” Holder said.

You know, I think the racist may have a point. The phony, charlatan race baiters like Sharpton and Jackson et al have brow breat America so much that we ARE afraid to discuss race. We accept the liberal thought police telling us what we must think and most importantly “feel” about racial matters. So in light of this new found revelation I will herewith call ‘em as I see ‘em. I have always judged others on their actions rather than their racial self-identity. Race and skin color had never been more than another identifying characteristic, never a tool to pigeon hole a person into a group. Well, not anymore I guess. So the next time I see a well dressed, successful black man, whether he is a business man, a police officer, a soldier, a lawyer, matters not. I have been told that I must confront race and forget that BS about judging a man by his character like I always have. After all I’m just a coward afraid to discuss racial issues. So that well dressed black man is no longer a well dressed MAN, the way I would have seen him in my unenlightened cowardly past. Now he is just another nigger and I must confront his blackness first. I shall judge him as an example of how a nigger can overcome his inherent inferiority, break from the struggle of his peeps, and work to become an Uncle Tom emulating his white superiors. Of course the only way he can do that is with the help of the gubmint and the morally superior Liberal elite. There Eric boopie, ya happy. I’m towing the official PC party line.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, but “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”

That’s because most Americans long ago quit giving a shit about a persons race. Except for the perpetually aggrieved chattering race whores that is. Without the crutch of their skin color and the boogey man of racism they would lose their power base faster than a virgin loses her panties on prom night.

Holder’s speech echoed President Barack Obama’s landmark address last year on race relations during the hotly contested Democratic primaries, when the then-candidate urged the nation to break “a racial stalemate we’ve been stuck in for years” and bemoaned the “chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races.” Obama delivered the speech to try to distance himself from the angry rhetoric of his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Yep, there is racism in the country alright. Surprise, surprise though, it ain’t where you’re pointing Bambi. Oh wait, I forgot that hate speech towards whites is not only acceptable, it’s laudatory and enlightened, spoken by courageous leaders struggling to free their people from the chains of oppression. Free speech for me, not for thee.

Holder cited that speech by Obama as part of the motivation for his words Wednesday, saying Americans need to overcome an ingrained inhibition against talking about race.

Orwell would be so proud. Only in this nigger’s backwards world can the act of ignoring a persons race be viewed as racism.

“If we’re going to ever make progress, we’re going to have to have the guts, we have to have the determination, to be honest with each other. It also means we have to be able to accept criticism where that is justified,” Holder told reporters after the speech.

What more progress do you want asshole? Nothing ever is enough is it? And of course you know that the justified criticism of which he speaks means only more criticism of white America. Don’t believe me? Ask Bill Cosby how well his criticism of the black communities hood rat mentality went over.

In the speech, Holder urged people of all races to use Black History Month as a chance for honest discussion of racial matters, including issues of health care, education and economic disparities.

In his world “honest discussion of racial matters,” means whites must rend their garments and self flagellate over the sins of those long dead, beg absolution at the altar of political correctness, and pay penance through subsidies and entitlements for the negro.

In a country founded by slave owners, race has bedeviled the nation throughout its history, with blacks denied the right to vote just a few decades ago. Obama’s triumph last November as well as the nomination of Holder stand as historic achievements of two black Americans.

Obama’s “triumph” (I puked a little reading that particular piece of obsequiousness) stands only as a triumph of empty platitudes and affirmative action. And why only focus on black Americans? Are they the only race besides whites in America?

Holder told hundreds of Justice Department employees gathered for the event that they have a special responsibility to advance racial understanding.

That statement should scare the hell out of you. A federal law enforcement agency is supposed to “advance racial understanding”. Through what means is an agency charged with the enforcement of federal law supposed to do that? Leave aside the question of whether they even SHOULD for just a second, and concentrate on the means that they would use to do so.

Even when people mix at the workplace or afterwork social events, Holder argued, many Americans in their free time are still segregated inside what he called “race-protected cocoons.”

Their choice asshole.

Matt Miller, a spokesman for Holder, said later the attorney general used “provocative words to be clear that Americans of all races should stop avoiding the difficult issues of race.”

Agreed. I used some provocative words myself earlier, words I don’t use otherwise, and will continue to do so now. So let’s follow Mattie boys dictate using Holder’s “courageous” and “provocative” example shall we? And let’s also use the lefts example and concentrate solely on the negro race, since that seems to be the only race they, the real racists in this country, seem to really care about.

I, as a white American, am sick of having the negro victim hood shoved in my face on a daily basis. I never owned a slave. None of my American ancestors ever owned a slave. If you go further back in my lineage you may find a few barbarian ancestors who owned other Europeans as slaves at one time, but the Romans enslaved a few of them also, so I too could claim slave blood. Let it go. Four years of bloody civil war, and 480,000 dead white Americans absolved my race of the sin of slavery. Stop using that particular red herring as a fucking crutch so that you can continue to revel in your welfare induced entitlement mentality.

You want to be treated as equals, stop hyphenating yourselves. Stop self segregating and disowning any member of your race who rises above the victim-hood mentality and actually succeeds in life. Every racial or ethnic group who ever existed in this country has experienced prejudice of some sort. Just ask the Irish how well they were received. Name for me one racial group or ethnicity that does not have a pejorative name associated with them. It’s part of the assimilation of the melting pot of America. Leave the past behind and join the American society and culture as equals, the same as the Frogs, Krauts, Chinks, Nips, Pollacks, Wops, Micks, Dagos, Wetbacks, Spics, Kikes, and dozens of others have. Stop being niggers and start being men. Stop blaming others for your own misogyny, racism, irresponsibility, laziness, dependency, and illiteracy. Learn how to speak English, dress like a responsible member of society, and work hard for your own success. Take responsibility for the by product of every time you drop your pants or spread legs. And stop blaming me for your own failings. Listen to Martin Luther King and stop judging others based on their race. I have. Keep up the sham of racial victimhood though, and you just may end up with a hell of a lot of potential friends judging you as nothing more than sub-human apes rather than as the human beings you are. Your fucking choice, not mine. I know my beliefs, and I belive the beliefs of a majority of my brethren. I don’t give a rats ass what color you are. Act like a man, I’ll treat you as one. Act like a nigger, I can treat you like one of those also.

Is that provocative and courageous enough for ya Holder?
